Welcome to eScholarID — a social tech platform for lifelong learning that empowers organizers, institutions and employers to issue trusted certificates while uniting achievers, opportunity seekers, professionals and non-professionals in one verified community. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using eScholarID in any way, you confirm that you are at least 16 years of age and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you may not use the platform.
2. Description of Service
eScholarID is a professional platform that enables users to receive, issue, and share verifiable digital certificates from trainings, workshops, conferences, and academic institutions. The platform also supports professional networking, portfolio building, and peer recognition.
3. User Accounts
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
- You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
- You may not share your account with others or impersonate any person or entity.
- Accounts suspected of fraudulent activity will be suspended without notice.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use eScholarID to:
- Upload false, misleading, or fraudulent certificate information.
- Harass, abuse, or threaten other users.
- Distribute spam, malware, or unsolicited commercial content.
- Violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or another user's account.
5. Intellectual Property
All content, trademarks, logos, and software on eScholarID are owned by or licensed to eScholarID. You retain ownership of content you upload but grant eScholarID a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to display and distribute it within the platform.
6. Certificate Authenticity
eScholarID provides tools for certificate issuance and verification. However, eScholarID does not independently verify the legitimacy of issuing organisations. Users are responsible for the accuracy of certificates they issue. Fraudulent issuance may result in permanent account termination and may be reported to relevant authorities.
7. Payments & Tokens
Token purchases and subscription payments are processed through secure third-party payment providers. All sales are final unless otherwise stated. eScholarID reserves the right to modify pricing with reasonable notice.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, eScholarID shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of your use or inability to use the service.
9. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time via your account settings.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by applicable international law and the laws of the jurisdiction in which eScholarID operates. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration where permitted by law.
