Acceptable Use Policy
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") defines standards for appropriate use of eScholarID. All users must comply with this policy.
1. Prohibited Content
You must not post, upload, or share content that:
- Is false, fraudulent, or misleading (including fake certificates).
- Is defamatory, harassing, threatening, or abusive towards others.
- Contains hate speech based on race, religion, gender, nationality, disability, or sexual orientation.
- Infringes copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights.
- Contains malware, spyware, viruses, or harmful code.
- Is sexually explicit or inappropriate for a professional environment.
2. Prohibited Activities
- Creating fake accounts or impersonating others.
- Attempting to hack, probe, or disrupt platform infrastructure.
- Scraping or harvesting user data without authorisation.
- Sending bulk unsolicited messages (spam).
- Using the platform to facilitate illegal transactions.
- Manipulating ratings, endorsements, or platform metrics artificially.
3. Certificate Integrity
Issuing organisations must only issue certificates for events or achievements that actually occurred. Fraudulent certificate issuance is a serious violation and will result in immediate account termination and may be reported to law enforcement.
4. Reporting Violations
If you encounter content that violates this policy, please report it using the in-app report feature or email abuse@escholarid.com. We take all reports seriously and investigate within 48 hours.
5. Consequences of Violation
Violations may result in:
- Content removal.
- Temporary account suspension.
- Permanent account termination.
- Legal action where appropriate.
